NYU Langone Health opens in Commack
NYU Langone Health has opened NYU Langone Ambulatory Care in Commack, Suffolk County.
The practice covers 18,000 square feet over two floors and provides family medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, colorectal surgery, urology, dermatology, and endocrinology services. It also features nearly 30 exam rooms, a procedure room, and offers on-site echocardiogram testing and X-rays.
“Expanding our presence on Long Island, especially in Suffolk County, improves access to NYU Langone’s care closer to where our patients live and work,” Andrew Rubin, senior vice president for clinical affairs and ambulatory care, said in a press release. “Our latest multispecialty practice in Commack allows patients to see multiple doctors in one visit, with each provider connected seamlessly by our electronic health record.”
NYU Langone provides a wide range of medical services across seven inpatient locations, its Perlmutter Cancer Center, and over 320 outpatient facilities in the New York area and Florida.
Summit Spine continues expansion
Summit Spine & Joint Centers has announced its newest clinic and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) in Warner Robins, Georgia.
The new location opened to new patients on Oct. 27 and serves customers in Cochran, Dublin, Eastman, Forsyth, Macon, Montezuma, Warner Robins, and the surrounding areas.
Summit’s latest facility will offer a wide range of services, including minimally invasive spine treatments, epidural procedures, joint injections, nerve blocks and general pain management.
The opening of the Warner Robins center marks the fifth new center Summit Spine & Joint has opened in the past three months. Summit’s other recently opened locations include Dawsonville, Evansville, and Fayetteville in Georgia, as well as Anderson, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Summit Spine focuses on accurate diagnosis and treatment of neck and back pain, herniated disks, sciatica, headaches, pelvic pain, musculoskeletal issues, neuropathic pain, spinal stenosis, fibromyalgia, and other conditions.
With its recent openings, Summit Spine now operates 18 ASCs and 47 clinics across four states with locations throughout Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
UChicago Medicine Crown Point announces expansion
The University of Chicago Medicine Crown Point multispecialty facility is expanding to meet the growing demand for care in Northwest Indiana.
The existing 130,000-square-foot building will undergo a 7,442-square-foot expansion that includes 18 new exam rooms, an X-ray unit, an additional operating room, two procedure rooms and five pre- and post-surgical bays.
“We’re very excited about how Northwest Indiana has embraced us in the community,” said Lauren Hull, chief administrative officer for Northwest Indiana. “Because of this positive response, we’ve outgrown our projections and are a few years ahead of our original plan to build out space for additional services.”
Construction on the multispecialty clinic area is scheduled for completion early next year, and work on the ASC is expected to finish in spring 2026.
Kelsey-Seybold expands ASC network across Houston
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic plans to expand its ASC network throughout Houston, Texas, with the opening of a new clinic in the Bay Area of Webster, Texas.
Kelsey-Seybold currently has five ASCs: Berthelsen Main Campus, North Houston, Springwoods Village, Memorial Villages and Fort Bend Campus.
Within the ASCs, Kelsey-Seybold provides robotic surgery, gastroenterology, pain management, urology, general surgery and other specialties.
Dignity Health breaks ground on new ambulatory care center
Dignity Health’s Chandler Regional Medical Center broke ground on a new, state-of-the-art ambulatory care center on Nov. 5. This expansion is intended to meet the growing needs of the quickly expanding East Valley community of Chandler, Arizona, and improve access to comprehensive health care services.
“The new building represents a profound commitment to the health and well-being of the East Valley,” Brian Galle, vice president of operations for Dignity Health East Valley, said. “As our community continues to expand at an incredible pace, it is our responsibility to ensure our neighbors have access to high-quality medical care, and this facility will bring many of those services under one roof.”
The 100,000-square-foot, four-story facility will house a variety of essential services designed to offer convenient and integrated care for patients. Plans for the new building include a dedicated ASC, an imaging center, and a Dignity Health Medical Group multispecialty practice. The facility will also provide specialized services such as neurological, thoracic and rehabilitation care.
The ambulatory care center is expected to open in Fall 2026.
UM Health-Sparrow to open ambulatory clinic
The University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Ionia will build a new 31,000-square-foot ambulatory clinic center adjacent to the current hospital, after approval Nov. 20 from the Board of Regents.
The new facility is expected to enhance patient access to health care services in the Ionia community. It will offer services including primary care, imaging, oncology, orthopedics, and cardiology.
“In the last decade, our Ionia hospital has experienced tremendous growth in both inpatient and outpatient services,” Margaret Dimond, president of the UM Health Regional Network, said. “We need this space for both specialty and primary care physicians as well as to support further growth.”
The regents approved an estimated cost of $28 million for the project. Desgin and construction is expected to take 30 months. Funding will be provided from UM Health-Sparrow resources, according to UM Health.
