GI Alliance launches ASC with MedCore Partners

GI Alliance has opened a new ambulatory surgery center (ASC) and managed clinic in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Developed in partnership with MedCore Partners, the facility brings together surgical and clinical services under one roof, offering a streamlined experience for gastroenterology patients from consultation through post-operative recovery, executives said in a press release.

The center includes multiple operating rooms, pre-op and recovery suites, and integrated digital systems to support efficient, high-quality care. The adjacent clinic will provide specialty consultations, pre-surgical evaluations and follow-up visits, all designed to improve continuity of care and reduce delays for patients.

GI Alliance works with 800 independent gastroenterologists in 17 states.

Amavita Heart and Vascular Health opens Region’s first cardiovascular ASC

Amavita Heart and Vascular Health has officially opened a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center in the Kendall neighborhood of Miami.

The 15,000-square-foot facility, housed within the Med Square Health campus, has hybrid operating rooms, robotic-assisted surgical systems and advanced imaging tools.

The new ASC is designed to reduce recovery times, lower procedure costs, and expand patient access to same-day treatments for complex cardiac and vascular conditions, Amavita Heart and Vascular Health said in a press release. In collaboration with Cardiovascular Centers of America, Amavita also implemented AI-driven recovery protocols and secured AAAHC accreditation before opening.

The center is projected to serve over 5,000 patients annually by 2026, executives said.

Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia to expand same-day heart care with new King of Prussia surgery center

Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia, in partnership with Penn Medicine and other providers, is preparing to open a $10 million ambulatory surgery center in King of Prussia aimed at delivering same-day cardiac procedures in a lower-cost, outpatient setting.

Slated to open later this year, the center will feature three operating rooms, one procedure room, and 12 pre- and post-op bays, offering diagnostic and interventional cardiac care on weekdays.

The new ASC reflects a growing push to move non-emergency cardiovascular services out of hospitals and into specialized outpatient facilities, CEO Mark Victor said in a press release.

Procedures will be performed by Cardiology Consultants physicians, with operations managed by national ASC operator SCA Health.

Slocum Orthopedics moves forward with new 10-OR surgery center

Slocum Orthopedics is advancing plans to build a 42,000-square-foot ambulatory surgery center in northeast Eugene, a project that would significantly expand the physician-owned group’s surgical footprint.

Site plans filed with the city show the forthcoming single-story facility will include up to 10 operating rooms and 30 pre- and post-operative bays, positioning Slocum to handle a higher volume of outpatient musculoskeletal procedures in a dedicated setting.

The new center, located on a six-acre parcel Slocum acquired in 2023, would mark a shift from the group’s current flagship on Coburg Road, which it leases.

While Slocum has not publicly commented on the expansion, its city filings indicate plans to apply for building permits this summer, with construction potentially underway by mid-2026, local news reported.

The practice currently includes more than two dozen physicians and currently offers urgent care, physical therapy, sports medicine and imaging services in addition to surgery.

Baxter Health expands outpatient services with new ASC and imaging center

Baxter Health is opening a new ASC and imaging facility in Harrison, Arkansas, expanding access to outpatient surgical care, diagnostics, and orthopedic services for patients in North Arkansas and Southern Missouri.

The new complex will also house the independent practice of Arkansas Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, offering a range of surgical and non-surgical treatments, including joint replacements, rotator cuff repairs and interventional spine care.

The new ambulatory surgery center is designed to deliver same-day surgical services in a streamlined, patient-centered environment, executives said in a press release. Adjacent to the ASC, Baxter Health Imaging at Harrison will provide advanced MRI and CT diagnostics, with a focus on fast, high-quality imaging to support timely care decisions.

“This facility represents our commitment to expanding access to high-quality, compassionate care right here in Harrison,” Brian Barnett, vice president of physician enterprise and business development at Baxter Health, said.
