ChristianaCare will take over operations at five Crozer Health outpatient centers in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, following a successful $50.3 million bid to acquire the locations out of Crozer’s ongoing bankruptcy process.
The facilities – located in Glen Mills, Havertown, Broomall and Media – will bolster ChristianaCare’s growing outpatient and neighborhood hospital network in southeastern Pennsylvania, ChristianaCare wrote in a press release.
“As we work to meet the needs of our Delaware County neighbors, we are glad that ChristianaCare is able to take on these outpatient centers and provide stability and continuity of access to care for patients,” CEO Janice Nevin said.
ChristianaCare officials said the centers will complement the system’s planned neighborhood hospitals in West Grove and Aston, as well as future expansion sites under consideration in Delaware County. The nonprofit health system is actively reviewing the existing programs at the newly acquired centers to determine which services to continue, restart, or expand.
“These facilities will significantly expand our network of care,” Chief Strategy and Legal Officer Jennifer Schwartz said. “At the same time, we continue our commitment to expand access to high-quality care across the region.”
Eye Health America’s latest addition
Eye Health America has partnered with Schneider Eye & Wellness Center in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, expanding the integrated eye care platform’s footprint in Northeast Florida. The move strengthens its surgical and clinical offerings in the region, according to the organization.
Founded by glaucoma specialist Dr. Timothy Schneider, the practice will continue to operate under his leadership, offering comprehensive ophthalmology services and performing procedures at Eye Health America’s Eye Surgery Center of North Florida.
“This is an exciting new chapter for our practice,” Schneider said in a press release. “Partnering with Eye Health America gives us the ability to expand our services, adopt new technologies, and continue delivering exceptional care to the community we proudly serve.”
The partnership marks Eye Health America’s 31st affiliation.
Unifeye Vision Partners expands in Texas
Unifeye Vision Partners (UVP) has partnered with Brooks Eye Associates, a Plano-based ophthalmology practice and surgery center, in a move that advances UVP’s growth strategy in Texas and adds to its portfolio of physician-led eye care operations.
The deal coincides with a new growth capital investment from Morgan Stanley Private Credit, with additional participation from PGIM Private Capital, to fuel UVP’s expansion in ophthalmology and ambulatory surgery center operations.
“What attracted us to UVP was their shared commitment to excellence in both clinical care and patient experience,” Dr. Dain B. Brooks said in a press release. “We’re excited to grow together while continuing to serve our community with the highest standard of care.”
With 64 clinics and 19 ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) in its network, UVP continues to build out its integrated model for specialty eye care delivery across the U.S.
Monterey Spine and Joint joins Montage Health
Mounting financial pressures, including declining insurance reimbursements and rising operational costs, led Monterey Spine and Joint to join the nonprofit health system Montage Health, local news reported.
The clinic, long a staple of Monterey’s Ryan Ranch medical community, will officially begin operating as Montage Orthopedics and Sports Medicine on April 28.
“Sustainability of private practice has really become a thing of the past,” Dr. Samera Kasim, an orthopedic physician at the clinic, told local news.
Despite strong patient volume, Kasim said the financial model had become increasingly difficult to maintain, making external support necessary.
Montage Health offered employment to nearly all of MSJ’s doctors and staff, with 13 of 14 physicians opting to stay on.
By joining Montage, the clinic gains access to additional recruitment incentives, electronic health records integration and broader care coordination resources.
“The more broad-based an organization is, the better for the patient population,” Kasim said.
US Oral Surgery Management expands West Coast footprint
U.S. Oral Surgery Management (USOSM) has added Grass Valley-based Douglas J. Valentine DDS Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery to its national network, marking the company’s latest move to strengthen its presence on the West Coast.
The partnership follows six other affiliations announced in the first quarter of 2025, as the Irving, Texas-based management services organization continues to scale its operations across 29 states.
“Dr. Valentine has a well-earned reputation for clinical excellence and always goes the extra mile for his patients, characteristics we value highly,” CEO Richard Hall said in a press release.
Under the new partnership, Valentine’s practice will continue to operate independently while gaining access to USOSM’s administrative, financial and operational support.
