Cardiovascular Logistics has named Kristen Richards as vice president of ambulatory care, aiming to enhance support for its cardiac catheterization labs, ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) and office-based labs (OBLs).
Richards, with over 20 years of health care experience, previously served as VP of cardiovascular operations at Atlas Healthcare Partners.
“ASCs need to ensure they have the right staff, technology and accreditation to perform [cardiac] procedures safely,” Richards told ASC News in June.
Richards’ background includes roles such as senior health economics manager at Philips Healthcare and director of cardiovascular services at Banner Heart Hospital. She holds a bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy from Northern Arizona University and an MBA in health care administration from Grand Canyon University.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kristen to this new position on the CVL team,” David Konur, CEO of Cardiovascular Logistics, said in a press release. “Her track record of success and established network within the healthcare industry make her an ideal fit for our organization.”
Cardiovascular Logistics works with over 280 cardiologists and 44 clinics across the country, some of which are ambulatory surgery centers.
Some of its affiliates include Cardiovascular Institute of the South, Capital Cardiology Associates and First Coast Cardiovascular Institute.
